This was my first gig with the Old GOATS at the Smithsonian Folklife festival in the summer of 2016 (it was hot that day, a day after chemo)
Peter sent me music files and I added a keyboard part, first tries.
After developing NOMADS data servers at NCEP/EMC in 2003, I sent the codes to NCDC to set up the archive of EMC's forecast and analysis model data archives to complement the real time model run data at NCEP in early 2000's. History run data and analysis files from all the prediction models, ensembles, etc, including access with DAP, and with GrADS graphics constructed on the fly, in 2003, implemented in 2007 NOMADS, (NCDC or NCDI implemented earlier) without the GrADS graphics part having lost to graphics wars. Development servers were Opendap servers using GDS (GrADS Data Server) and the graphics display programs were present. This site has a development fragment from 25 years ago. The cell phone app to set up notification of futrue weather events, the Grads graphics, and OpenDAP have been removed from the operations and the links are broken. NOMADS continues to serve data officially in high availability mode from NOAA/NWS/NCEP as file downloads.
